RA Projects has created a house-sized work of art. Actually, it’s the house itself. Fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic’s residence has been renuvated beyond belief. The bold blues of the steel staircase in the center immediately draw your eye as soon as you enter this artsy home.
Rather than divide different rooms with walls, the designer opted to place the staircase in the center of the room. The open design lifts the appearance of the house’s interior and provides a truly unique design.
Not only is it eye-catching and modern chic, but one of the ends acts as storage with shelves that vary in size. Four glass windows are set into the floor nearby to provide lighting for the downstairs, and a lightwell outside reflects sunlight into the kitchen and dining room.
