Renowned French architect Cyril Rheims is lauded for his clever approach on making the most out of small apartments. Apartement FAR is his own place in which commonly unused space, the upper part of the room, is allocated by lifting the bedroom and bathroom up. The storage below also creates a division between the separate areas.

The colorful blocks that function as a staircase to the bed and bath room can also be used as seats and storage. This way both the colors as well as the function of the elements add to the playfulness of the home.

The abundance of white makes the apartment look more spaceous. Kitchen cabinets hanging from the old wooden trusses also add to the roomy feel.

All the walls being transparant is one of the major aspects that make this 485 ft2/ 45 m2 open-concept loft appear so much bigger. When needed the blackout blinds can close off certain areas.
