Open-plan living is beautiful, but sometimes it can leave you feeling exposed: guests can see your entire home at a glance, and dropping a towel on the bedroom floor makes your whole home look like a mess.
This cleverly-designed apartment features a bedroom concealed behind moving bookcases, so it can be hidden from visitors without ruining the airy lines of the building.
The apartment was adapted from an 18th-century monastery by Slovakian design team JRKVC Studio, who kept the 11ft beamed ceilings and herringbone floor but revamped the interior with a bright minimalist look.
The hidden door to the bedroom utilized the rotating door of the former library.
