It’s a lamp. It’s a portable power outlet stand. It’s a charging station. It’s a work of art. It’s a piece of work. It sure is, but only in the best, most positive sense of the words.
Stromer is a very characteristic multipurpose piece that does not only offer great functionality but with its quasi industrial yet very polished appearance it’s really great to look at too. We dare to say it’s exciting actually.
Our newfound mobility needs innovative ways of approaching how we design our living and work spaces. Stromer embodies such a new approach.
In almost all settings, whether at home or on the job, power outlets are situated at ungodly positions. You are totally immersed in what you are doing, programmers and gamers call it being in the zone, as your battery dies. All of a sudden you find yourself bending under a table to the outlet.
As the creators of Stromer like to say “the discomfort begins where battery life ends”.
Not that we don’t agree with the perks of a little exercise during such passive activities, not it’s solely because we dislike being disturbed during our electrically powered activities.
The Stromer extends power into the room, it serves it, where you really need it – a helpful fellow in your office and everywhere in your home.
Stromer sports three child-safe slots, and a sadllebag on a fine birch wood frame. The textile cable reaches almost three meters into the room and can be rolled up like a lasso around the handle of the head. Stromer is available in different colorsand with or without saddlebag.
