This side table features a magazine rack which makes it somewhat multifunctional (not really but we just couldn’t resist the urge to showcase it. You could argue that apart from a side table it is a pedestal, a shiny podium there to feature your reading material only.
Anyway, once turned over its recess can still be used to place magazines, books, tablets, and other stuff you want to keep close.
Its transparent acrylic shape with its smoky gray color lets it blend well into various interiors. It has a retro appeal while at the same time airs modernism.
Amac, the renowned produceres of all-acrylic piece of furniture, (you may know them from their AMAC Stacking Containers, Andy Warhol does) can lean on a 50-year design tradition.
Amac’s art ended up in New York’s Museum of Modern Art as well as on a lot of people’s home desks. The company now has dabbed into the home furniture market with their Slot Table.
