You wouldn’t say it but this sleek looking wall mounted item sticks out from the wall a tiny 4,5 inches.
Considering the Podpad is almost just as thick as a framed poster you wouldn’t guess it harbors a whole bunch of functionality. At least not if you hadn’t seen some photos of it before.
The stylish, ultramodern workspace has several functions. It features a shadowbox that highlights your iPhone or iPod dock and connects it to an integrated audio system.
Once expanded a desk and laptop storage are revealed. Plenty room for mail (you know, the old fashioned paper version) and files and papers. Of course it sports a charging station, which self-respecting piece of furniture doesn’t have that nowadays.
Also nice, there’s space to house your keys, change, and other little stuffs so you can keep other parts of the home uncluttered.
The walnut finished Podpad comes in either white or bamboo doors. The Podpad is brought to you by Ruphus, led by Matt Raphael, a Virginia native and UVA School of Architecture grad, based in Portland, OR.
The Podpad is great for small homes, for small purses less so.
