The Ludovica Lamp, presented on Milan Design Week 2014 is both multifunctional and beautiful. The modular LED lamp functions as a bookend and a portable lamp.
The opaque white module can be taken out of the orange frame allowing for flexibility in where you want to use your reading light. The delicate light it emits beams away from the lamp for an enhanced reading experience.
Designed by Italian design studio Zanocchi & Starke, the Ludovica can be used as desktop furniture but would also make a great reading companion for on the couch or in a lazy chair. While thinking about it, it would make a stylish bedside light too.
After the four hours of battery life have passed you just insert the usb cord at the bottom of the light and it will recharge again.
A modular, portable reading light that will help you store your books too, that’s a great example of multipurpose furniture, exactly what we like to see. What do you think of the Ludovica multifunctional lamp?
