There’s something to be said about a space that thinks like a sanctuary, but acts like a home. Jet De Bruijn’s newest creation expects nothing from its environment, but adds functionality and grace.
The “Tammel” lamp, inspired from the oak and walnut trees that punctuated Jet’s childhood farm, is a simple design with a multipurpose complexity.
It’s narrow metal frame and wood base make it easy to integrate into any décor, whether you choose to have it placed on a wall, hung from the ceiling, or positioned as a desk or table lamp.
The bulb is unattached to its framework, allowing it to be easily flipped; and if you’re one that likes rearranging their living area from time to time, this movability feature is a major benefit.
It serves itself in it’s most basic form as a standing table lamp, but if you’d rather have a more permanent art fixture the base is mountable to the ceiling or wall.
Jet’s given some leeway in composition by offering a choice of colors for the light’s connective cable. This means it can establish itself as an eyecatching splash of color, or an unassuming gem, in the busiest or most basic of rooms.
